BREAKFAST BISCUIT SANDWICHES
These tender biscuits have a terrific, salty edge. Top them with eggs, cheese and country ham, and, a sweet strawberry jam.
Ingredients
- Atkinson's Biscuit Mix with Butter Flakes (use as much as needed)
- Buttermilk (as called for on package)
- Butter, for spreading
- Country Ham Biscuit Pieces (1–2 slices per biscuit, depending on preference)
- 1 slice cheddar cheese per biscuit
- 1 egg per biscuit
- Strawberry jam (optional)
How to Make It
Step 1:
Prepare biscuits using Atkinson's Biscuit Mix with Butter Flakes, following package directions with buttermilk. Bake until golden, fluffy, and irresistible.
Step 2:
Split biscuits and lightly butter each side. Place cut-side down on a hot griddle or skillet until golden and crisp.
Step 3:
Cook eggs to your liking. Cook Country Ham Biscuit Pieces in a pan 1-2 minutes on each side until cooked through.
Step 4:
Stack it up: biscuit, cheddar, egg, and 1–2 slices of country ham. Add a swipe of jam if you like that sweet-salty flavor.
Close and serve warm.
