This elegant salad pairs the deep, savory flavor of our premium country ham with the honeyed sweetness of ripe peaches and creamy goat cheese. Finished with a drizzle of balsamic glaze, it’s a refreshing, vibrant dish that proves country ham isn’t just for breakfast!

Ingredients

  • Suncrest Country Ham Slices 

  • 2 Ripe Peaches, sliced into wedges

  • 1 Bag (5 oz) Fresh Arugula

  • 4 oz Goat Cheese, crumbled

  • ¼ cup Pecans (toasted or candied, optional)

  • Balsamic Glaze

  • 1 tsp Butter or Oil

  • Black Pepper

Instructions

Step 1. Pan-Fry the Ham

Place a skillet over medium-high heat with butter or oil. Add slices of Suncrest country ham (number of slices based on preference) and fry for 2 minutes per side.

Step 2. Chop the Ham

Remove the ham from the pan and let it rest for 1 minute on a paper towel. Once cool enough to handle, cut the ham into small bite-sized pieces or thin slivers.

Step 3. Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, toss the arugula with a tiny drizzle of olive oil and a crack of black pepper.

Step 4. Layer Ingredients

Top the greens with the peach wedges, the crumbled goat cheese, and the warm, crispy ham pieces. Sprinkle the pecans over the top.

Step 5. Drizzle and Serve

Finish the dish with a generous drizzle of balsamic glaze. Serve immediately while the ham is still warm and crispy against the cool peaches.
